Misc pieces I’m working on for a display case for a mink skull.

I did this drawing of my wife. This is just a piece of it. Its pretty big and hanging over the fire place.

Before I drew it I chiseled and routed the wood down into these tiles. Then I drew the picture onto the wood.

That’s her short signature. I copied it off a card she gave to me years ago and made a big stencil out of it.

For Day 5 I made a case for my Snake Eyes collection. This is a metal grate soldered to a hinge to create a gate-like opening. The other side is stationary. There are also four copper wrappers on each corner to give it an older look. The case is made of 7/16 oak.

I was looking to make an organic body part out of something cold and industrial. Came up with this – its my Heart Shaped Copper Box. The whole piece came out of a large flat sheet of copper that’s about 2/3 the thickness of a penny and its about yay big. Hard to tell from the pics, but all the joints are soldered together.
